Engr. Dr. Lasisi Salami LAWAL

Received his first degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (BEng, Second Class Upper Division) in 1999, Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Business Management Technology in 2005, from the Federal University of Technology, Minna-Niger State, Nigeria. He completed a two-year Technology Transfer Training programme at the China Academy of Space Technology in Beijing gaining a Satellite Professional Certificate in Communication Satellite and Space Technologies and emerged as one of the best among the trainees. He gained an MSc (Distinction) in Satellite Communications and Space Systems from the University of Sussex in the UK in 2011 and a PhD in Engineering from same University in 2014.

Dr. Luci Abrahams

Luci Abrahams (PhD) is Director of the LINK Centre at Wits University, building research on digital innovation and how digital technologies and processes influence change. Studies include: digital skills gap analysis and implementation programme design; digital government strategy; scaling up innovation in tech hubs; open access in scholarly publishing (Open AIR research partnership); and health e-services improvement (Egypt-South Africa research partnership). Luci convenes the MA and PhD programmes in Interdisciplinary Digital Knowledge Economy Studies; and short courses in disruptive technologies, digital operations and leadership, and cybersecurity professional practice. She serves on the Board of TENET; and on the Evaluation and Review Reference Group for the review of the National Research Foundation. Luci is Corresponding Editor for The African Journal of Information and Communication, indexed in the SciELO Citation Index. She has previously served on various Boards and Committees, including the Board of the National Research Foundation and the Ministerial Review Panel on the Science Technology and Innovation Institutional Landscape. She chaired the Advisory Committee on ICT Governance for the University of Fort hare (2019 – 2020).
